Scope: The works included the demolition and removal of existing kerbs, earthworks including topsoil stripping, cut to fill, importation and spreading of clean fill, compaction and testing; road construction including the importation and spreading subbase and subgrade materials, trimming and compaction, the installation of asphalt and kerbing; concrete works including construction of median islands, concrete footpaths and faux paving.
The sit was located adjacent a school which resulted in high traffic volumes. RCA was required to accommodate for this and liaise with the client to ensure the program reflected the restrictions appropriately. Effective traffic management assisted with the construction process and the project was completed within the agreed time frames.
